Donald Trump has gotten a lot of attention over the past few weeks for his repeated, enthusiastic commentary on the size, shape and musculature of the rear ends of some of his fellow Republican colleagues.
But during a Port Huron, Mich., campaign rally on Sunday (Oct. 25), he pivoted to focus on his friend Nicki Minaj‘s assets. “By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful ass before… Nicki Minaj!” the president said with a smile as the crowd laughed.
“That’s hard to miss!” Trump added as the camera swung to a guest section, where Minaj, wearing a conservative first-lady-style business suit, stood up at his urging. As the leader of the free world repeated, “That’s hard to miss!” Minaj, who has been an avid supporter of Trump during his second term, stood up and waved one finger in the air as she did a spin and wave.
“I hope Nicki wasn’t insulted, but we love Nicki,” continued Trump, who has been hitting the road hard over the past few weeks in an attempt to boost Republican prospects as polls suggest that Democrats are likely to win the House and potentially narrow the gap — or possibly flip — the Senate at a time when the second-term president is facing historically low poll numbers. His remark about the rapper’s body came after he’d repeated his previous comments praising Ohio Sen. Jon Husted’s posterior, this time pausing to clarify, “Off the record: Women, yes. Men, no.” Trump later called Minaj up to the stage, where she led a chant of “We love Trump!” and joked to the term-limited president, “If you run again, I will support you again.”
