SiriusXM is sad to report that legendary hip-hop DJ, rapper, and Shade 45 host Lord Sear has passed away at 54.

Lord Sear’s legacy in hip-hop runs deep. A proud member of the CM family, he first made his mark as part of the hip-hop group Kurious, before going on to the legendary “Stretch and Bobbito” show, touring the world on Eminem’s Anger Management Tour, and spending over 20 years as a cornerstone of the Shade 45 family — he helped shape the culture at every level. Lord Sear is best known for his most recent role of hosting The All Out Show” on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Shade 45 channel. He gained prominence as a DJ and radio personality known for his deep knowledge of 90s and 2000s hip‑hop culture.

Lord Sear was instrumental in shaping hip hop culture, particularly through his work at Shade 45. He helped promote emerging artists and provided a platform for diverse voices within the genre. His long tenure and influential shows made him a respected figure, impacting both fans and aspiring musicians alike.
