Multi-platinum Memphis rapper NLE The Great (aka NLE Choppa) returns with “Hello Revenge,” a new single that channels clarity, confidence, and pure creative fire.
NLE has been going at NBA YoungBoy quite heavily in recent months. He just upped the ante with the new diss track “Hello Revenge,” although there aren’t many direct shots at the Baton Rouge lyricist. It’s a generally confrontational performance over a dramatic, bombastic instrumental with references to social media comparisons and spirituality. As far as the Memphis MC’s bars and demeanor on the track, it’s a pretty fiery barrage of bars with some passionate deliveries, even if it’s a lengthy record. Will YB respond to this more directly or keep shooting back with sparse and general shots? We’ll see, but for now, this is an interesting change of pace for NLE The Great.
This 4 minute verbal attack that was meant to escalate his ongoing feud with YoungBoy. Clad in a black cowboy hat, matching leather gloves, a bandana, and a full Western-inspired outfit, NLE strutted and moonwalked through the video with dance moves that many online said resembled a low-budget Michael Jackson impersonation. Directed by Bryson Potts and Travis Payne, the video was intended to be theatrical. Despite the serious tone of the feud, the internet’s reaction to “Hello Revenge” has turned the moment into a spectacle. The video, posted on YouTube, continues to rack up views, many of them from people watching just to see the cowboy outfit and dance moves.
