A judge in London’s Southwark Crown Court ordered Brown’s release on Wednesday on 5 million-pound bail (about $6.7 million) nearly a week after the R&B singer was arrested and taken into custody.

The AP reported that Brown, 36, faces allegations that he beat music producer Amadou “Abe” Diaw with a bottle, seriously injuring him outside the Tape London nightclub two years ago. Brown was on tour at the time of the alleged incident and returned to the U.K. this month ahead of his latest Breezy Bowl XX world tour, which is scheduled to kick off in the Netherlands and Germany in June before a U.K. leg that will stop in Manchester, Cardiff, London and Birmingham. Brown’s release means his world tour can continue as long as the bail is paid to guarantee his future appearance in court. Brown was initially scheduled to make a court appearance on June 13th and would have missed at least three tour dates if he had been held until that time.
