A civil lawsuit that accused hip-hop moguls Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jay-Z of rape has been dropped.
The lawsuit originally claimed the two raped a 13-year-old at a VMA after party. Now, a filing by the plaintiff confirms the suit has been dismissed with prejudice. Law&Crime’s Sierra Gillespie has the breaking developments. JAY-Z is speaking out about the distress his family endured following the now-dismissed rape lawsuit, detailed in a declaration supporting his lawsuit against attorney Tony Buzbee.
A Jane Doe accuser alleged JAY-Z and Diddy assaulted her at an after-party following the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. The Hip-Hop mogul denied the claims from the outset and blasted the “frivolous, fictitious and appalling allegations,” when the suit was dismissed with prejudice last week.
