Boyz II MenĀ will soon be telling their story in both a biopic as well as an accompanying documentary.
VarietyĀ confirmed in a report on November 14th that the group have partnered with production and financing companies Compelling Pictures and Primary Wave to develop a narrative feature film, along with a long-form documentary about their 30-year career. Boyz II Menās Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman and Wanya Morris will serve as executive producers on the biopic.
Beyond the biopic, the production team is also working on a long-form documentary that will explore the highs and lows of Boyz II Menās career more intricately. The feature is expected to capture the emotional and personal side of the groupās evolution, from navigating their early success in the 1990s to maintaining longevity in the ever-changing music industry. Producers OāSullivan and Kalligheri remarked on the significance of the project.
The film is still in development with early conversations with writers and directors just starting, but the studios are āfast-trackingā the production, according to the report. Boyz II Men continues to tour and recently performed three sold-out shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
