The man who attacked a Las Vegas judge after she delivered his sentence in court previously refused to reappear in court.

Now, reports surfaced noting the man—Deobra Redden, appeared in court “by any and all means necessary.” Judge Mary Holtus noted she did not change her sentencing based on the attack in the courtroom and gave Redden 19 months to four years in prison. The sentence was for an attempted battery with substantial bodily harm charge. Redden allegedly slammed Holthus’ head against a wall and hit her in the head once, according to court documents. A marshal for Holthus reportedly received 25 stitches after being hit in the head. As a result of the attack on the judge, Redden is facing 13 charges related to the court attack.Â
