Green clarified that he thought Jusuf Nurkić was pulling his hip, and in an attempt to sell the call, he unintentionally made contact with Nurkić. While Green doesn’t usually apologize for deliberate actions, he expressed regret to Nurkić, emphasizing that he didn’t intend to hit him. The ejection occurred in the third quarter when Green was assessed a Flagrant 2 foul for swinging at Nurkić and striking him across the face during an inbounds play in Golden State’s 119-116 loss.
