When Adidas decided to part ways with Kanye in October, the brass at the iconic sportswear company made it clear that the split was due to his antisemitic commentary, stating that his remarks were a direct violation of their company’s policy.

However, since deciding to terminate what was once a mutually beneficial business deal, Adidas has lost hundreds of millions. Earlier this year, it was announced that Adidas is expected to lose approximately $1.3 billion by the end of 2023. The company is also stuck with over $500 million worth of Yeezy products in their inventory that lacked Kanye’s signature insignias. On the flip side, the cancellation of the once-highly publicized collaboration has stripped Kanye of his billionaire status.

The German-based company and Kanye West have reached a tentative agreement to reconcile and resume their ‘Yeezy’ partnership in order to clear out the remaining inventory. Although the news has been shared by multiple reporters, there are conflicting statements from others suggesting that a reunion between Adidas and Kanye is merely a rumor at this point.
