Rumors are flying as the NBA trade deadline ends on Thursday (February 9) afternoon, and it was revealed that Kevin Durant was traded to the Suns.
League sources tell The Athletic’s Shams Charania that Durant was traded to the Suns in a blockbuster deal that sees the Suns acquiring Durant for Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, four first-round picks and additional draft compensation. There were also reports that the Lakers, Jazz, and Timberwolves were involved in deals that would send D’Angelo Russell to Los Angeles, Russell Westbrook and draft compensation to Utah, and Mike Conley Jr. to Minnesota.Â
During the offseason, Durant reportedly asked the Nets to be traded to the Suns, but he eventually agreed to rejoin the team after they didn’t find a deal for him. Stay tuned for more details.Â
