NBA legend and cultural icon Allen Iverson opened up recently about his ill-fated debut rap album while in conversation with Kevin Hart for his YouTube series Cold As Balls. 

AI said that the album, Misunderstood, was a major point of contention between himself and the late former NBA commissioner David Stern. He reflected on the controversy surrounding the single “40 Bars” as it was characterized as being sexist and homophobic. This led to the project eventually being scrapped due to the pressure.
