It wasn’t until another inmate started freestyling that Rich Homie Quan knew that he could do better and surprised everyone by spitting a rhyme. This led to Rich Homie Quan rapping for snacks and money, giving him the inspiration to run with the idea of really becoming a rapper. From there, Rich Homie Quan spoke about coming home and moving into his mom’s garage, where he set up a studio and started recording music on his own.
