The company, renowned for its successful projects like the Power franchise, secured the city-owned Millennium Studios space following a unanimous city council vote. The agreement outlines a $2,400 annual lease, with G-Unit responsible for maintenance and repair costs.
Councilwoman Tabatha Taylor expressed enthusiasm, hailing 50 Cent as a “mighty mogul” whose presence is anticipated to yield positive “residual effects” for local businesses. Taylor highlighted the potential of G-Unit’s space in elevating Shreveport’s status as an “entertainment mecca.”
