Boosie Badazz went on national television Sunday night to tell the world he got played for $600,000 by two political operatives who promised him a Trump pardon.
The rapper sat down with 60 Minutes to discuss his lawsuit against Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl, the far-right lobbyists who took his money and delivered nothing but empty promises and excuses. He didn’t expect the network to cut the parts of his story that mattered most, leaving viewers with an incomplete picture of what really happened. Boosie paid the pair upfront in 2025 after they convinced him that dropping that kind of cash basically guaranteed a pardon.
According to his contract, if he didn’t get clemency by January 31, 2026, they’d return half the money, and that deadline came and went with no pardon. When Boosie asked for his $300,000 refund, Burkman and Wohl denied the agreement ever existed, claiming the contract wasn’t valid.
The rapper’s been fighting them in court ever since, and according to TMZ, he’s determined to get every penny back.What made Boosie’s situation even more frustrating was that he’d already met with the White House pardon czar before hiring these brokers and discussed his case directly with administration officials. He wanted the president to review his federal gun charge from a 2023 incident and consider whether a pardon was warranted.
Instead of going through that legitimate channel, he got talked into paying Burkman and Wohl, who claimed they had direct lines to Trump’s inner circle and could mobilize influencers and members of Congress to pressure the president into signing off.
