Marvel has posted the official Avengers: Doomsday Special Look, as Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, and Hayley Atwell unveiled the clip.

They also unveiled a new poster at D23. Also, the same footage is now on the official Marvel Entertainment YouTube channel. Meanwhile, the film opens December 18. The official Special Look is not a recut of the July trailer. Instead, it spends most of its two minutes on Victor von Doom. A woman who sounds like Sue Storm says Victor was always the smartest guy in every room. Then she adds that he used to be kind, and that everything he loved was taken from him. After that, a man who sounds like Reed Richards asks, “Victor, did you do this?” Then Doom answers that the heroes have lived stolen lives. Now they must give them back. Thor then warns that Doom will beg for hell long before Thor grants it. Finally, Doom’s last line is the one Marvel already put on the title card: “Hell answers to me. For I am Doom.”

Marvel’s official movie page still describes the plot in one line. Heroes from three distinct universes collide, then face an existential threat. Specifically, that is marketing language, not a spoiler sheet. The clip does not name which universe each hero is from. It also does not confirm how Steve Rogers or Peggy Carter return. Marvel says the same D23 stage also unveiled a new Avengers: Doomsday poster. Specifically, Doctor Doom stands at a green window, one hand on the glass. The tagline under the title is “December 18, 2026 is Doomsday.”
