Drake is dropping his new album “ICEMAN” very soon, and we wonder if this is a separate music video to other recent production sightings.
Fans in Toronto spotted Drizzy riding around the city and rapping on a truck full of ice blocks for an upcoming music video. Many police cars trailed the vehicle while the crew filmed the visuals and fans and passerby recorded the whole thing. DJ Akademiks TV caught a few angles via Instagram. Fans lined the streets, cheering him on, and he acknowledged the love right back, creating one of those moments that remind you why Toronto still rides for him like that. The controlled chaos of the shoot had people talking because Drake’s been building ICEMAN’s rollout with some seriously creative moves. Between the livestreams, his ice-block stunt, and now this ice-truck situation, he’s making sure people know something big is coming.
Most recently, Drake took credit for a massive controlled explosion in Toronto, which made many fans think it might have been for upcoming visuals. Drake’s new album ICEMAN comes out on May 15th, and will most likely be the biggest rap release of the year when it drops. We will see just how big that is very soon, as many folks continue to debate and speculate about potential first week sales numbers, artistic directions and decisions, and many other angles.
Exactly two years ago today, Drake went to war with Kendrick Lamar, starting with “Family Matters” and escalating through “meet the grahams,” “Not Like Us,” and “The Heart Part 6.” That battle defined an entire era of Hip-Hop, and now fans are wondering whether he’ll revisit that energy on the new album or take things in a completely different direction.
