DrakeĀ opened his Birmingham concert with a nod toĀ Ozzy OsbourneĀ by walking onstage to Black Sabbath’s ā€œIron Manā€ just a day after the legendary rocker’s death at age 76.

DrakeĀ joined a crowd of fans paying tribute toĀ Ozzy OsbourneĀ following theĀ heavy metal legend’s deathĀ on Tuesday July 23 when Drizzy pulled up to the Black Sabbath Bench in Osbourne’s hometown of Birmingham, England. The New York TimesĀ was on the ground Tuesday night, and in addition to speaking with fans leaving bouquets of flowers and letters to the lateĀ Black SabbathĀ rocker, Drake was also in attendance. Drizzy reportedly poured some tequila on the ground next to the Black Sabbath Bench to pay homage to Osbourne.

Drake also called Ozzy a ā€œcultural touchstoneā€ even for those who weren’t familiar with his music. DrakeĀ posted and deleted a photoĀ of the bench filled with flowers, signs, photos and heartfelt messages to Osbourne.
