The music mogul was denied bond again over concerns of obstruction and witness tampering related to his RICO and sex trafficking charges.
After the Bad Boys Records owner’s legal team submitted the third appeal to have him released from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, ahead of his May 5 trial, the judge denied his motion for bail, according to NBC News. The Nov. 27th ruling said no conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community.
The judge’s decision comes after two previous appeals from Combs’ legal team asking for him to be released from federal custody and a court appearance which saw the 55-year-old and his legal team ask for a release once more. Combs’ lawyer Marc Agnifilo suggested during the court appearance, per NBC News, that Combs—who has pleaded not guilty to federal charges related to racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking after his arrest—should be relocated to a three-bedroom apartment on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, where he will be guarded by a private security company, Patriot Security, and only allowed to call his attorneys.Â
