However, the power couple couldn’t help but to also reflect on their heartwarming, spin-the-block love story. The rapper praised his wife for being a “great person and mother”—she welcomed their son, Kareem back in August— while also sharing how good it feels to have someone to celebrate his life with.
The gold party TAO Las Vegas was one of two celebrations Nelly had to celebrate his 50th. The first was his Hallo-Western themed party in Atlanta. The Sin City event was more lavish. Per ET, Ashanti planned the entire party with guests including Anderson .Paak and Kandi Burruss in attendance. Kevin Hart popped out as a surprise guest.
The couple began dating in the early 2000s but split in 2014 after nearly ten years together. Nelly and Ashanti spent a decade apart before rekindling their relationship last year and married in December. They welcomed their first child together, a son named Kareem Kenkaide, in July.
