Rockstar Games may delay the release of Grand Theft Auto VI to 2026 due to production slowdowns.
Initially planned for early 2025, the game’s release date is likely to be pushed back to the end of 2025 or even further. Rockstar’s decision to mandate a return to office for remote employees was intended to maintain production progress, but sources suggest that development has fallen behind schedule. The game’s trailer, released in December, revealed it would be set in Vice City with two main characters, one of whom is a female protagonist, marking a first for the franchise. GTA VI will be exclusive to current-gen consoles and will not launch on PC initially.
