Earlier this month, Andre 3000 finally unveiled his much-anticipated debut solo album, marking his return to the music scene after over 15 years since the last Outkast album.
While fans had eagerly awaited new material from Andre, the album’s arrival didn’t align with their expectations. In his announcement, Andre made it clear that the album would have “no bars,” and he stayed true to his word. The resulting project, titled New Blue Sun, is a 90-minute ambient jazz album devoid of any vocals. Predictably, it sparked a division of opinions among listeners.
Some admirers credited Andre for embracing his artistic inclinations and praised the experimental elements of the album. Others were less enthusiastic, suggesting that he should stick to rap. Now, Big Gipp from Goodie Mob has stepped in to support Andre’s unconventional approach.
