Tory Lanez has been convicted of all charges for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
Megan Thee Stallion accused Lanez of shooting her in the foot during an argument after the pair left a party at Kylie Jenner’s home in July 2020. As a result, Lanez was charged with assault with a semi-automatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. Earlier this month, a third charge for discharging a firearm with gross negligence was added. Tory Lanez pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The trial delivered a number of bombshells and twists. During opening statements in the case, it was revealed that both Tory and Megan’s friend, Kelsey Nicole Harris, tested positive for gun residue after the shooting incident in 2020. Then, the prosecution revealed that Harris would testify in the trial that she saw Tory shoot Megan. However, after Kelsey was granted immunity, she claimed she lied to prosecutors in an earlier interview and claimed she didn’t remember much of the incident.

During closing arguments, Ta also singled out Kelsey Nicole and called her a “terrible liar” for switching up her story during her testimony. She also targeted Tory Lanez and said he “had a massive ego and he could not handle being disrespected” by Megan Thee Stallion, who she said was more successful and famous than him.
Following the verdict, Tory Lanez was reportedly handcuffed and taken to jail. He faces 22 years in state prison.
