The Woman King, a historical drama starring Viola Davis, dominated the box office this past weekend with an impressive showing that more than doubled the numbers of the film with the second most ticket sales.
The cast featured an assortment of Black actors from all over the globe, while the premise was factually based on a female military unit from West Africa during the 19th century. The movie received a rare 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes but when it landed on Jason Whitlock’s radar, the sworn enemy of BLM, LGBTQ+, “the left” and woke culture, in general, was none too pleased with the story arch. In a recent episode of Fearless with Jason Whitlock, the outspoken sports analyst dropped some scathing hot commentary about the aforementioned film calling it “a joke,” “a disgrace,” “satanic,” and “anti-male.” But when Shemeka Michelle, a regular contributor on the show, joined Jason for a segment about The Woman King, she took the criticism to a whole new level.
