Before he passed, XXXTentacion reportedly signed a $10 million deal for the release of his third album. The signing happened only a few weeks before his life was ended.
The New York Times reported that the rapper was in contact with Empire, the independent music company that pushed his first album ’17.’ The founder of Empire, Ghazi Shami noted the rapper had a “significant amount of material” ready for the latest album, but no plans were set in stone for the actual release.
Despite the news, a clause in the rapper’s contract for the album says the album may not be dropping until October 2018.
