Will Smith’s mother, Carolyn Smith, spoke out in light of her son making headlines for slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars.

Speaking exclusively with WPVI-TV Philadelphia, Carolyn stated, “He is a very even, people person. That’s the first time I’ve ever seen him go off. The first time in his lifetime. I’ve never seen him do that.”
