Tiffany Haddish became the first Black woman to win a Grammy for a comedy album since Whoopi Goldberg won in 1986 for her “Original Broadway Show Recording,” after her “Black Mitzvah” Netflix special won for best comedy album.
Tiffany shared footage of the moment she learned she won, which was while she was filming for “Kids Say the Darndest Things.” Tiffany was filming a segment with two young Black girls when producers gave her the news of her big win, which brought tears to her eyes. She explained on Instagram that she wanted to use the moment as a teachable experience for the girls that anything is possible.
