Fans may have noticed that every video and television performance released by The Weeknd in the run-up to the release of his next album, “After Hours,” is thematically linked and part of a larger story that is gradually unfolding.
That continues with the release of a “short film” that bears the name of the album and its recent title-track single — although the music in this new film is almost all instrumental and, well, we can only guess at what’s going on here.
