In a recent interview on the We in Miami podcast, Robin Thicke opened up about his love for black culture.

He laid out his black cultural bonafides by tracing his family’s love and involvement in black culture dating back to his grandfather who was a jazz musician. He was also notably married to a black woman in actress Paula Patton whom he shares a son with. Around the 20:15 mark of the interview, Thicke addressed those who see him as merely a culture vulture and pushed back against these claims by stating, “haters are supposed to be teachers.”
