Milly Alcock is an immensely talented actress from Australia whose short-lived portrayal of Rhaenyra Targaryen in the Game of Thrones prequel called House of Dragons left fans craving for the 22-year-old to have more screen time.

When the writers aged her out of the storyline during the inaugural season of HBO’s hit series, several House of Dragons supporters were highly upset because not only was she a fan favourite, along with Matt Smith (Daemon Targaryen), but she was arguably the show’s best on-screen performer. Much like Jason Momoa (as Khal Drogo) during the first season of Game of Thrones, Milly’s presence on House of Dragons may not have lasted long, but it was a memorable moment that will undoubtedly live on in the annals of the fictional universe created by George R. R. Martin.

During Tuesday night’s ceremony for the 80th Golden Globe Awards, House of Dragons fans were treated to a delightful sight when the show’s director Miguel Sapochnik accepted the honour of “Best Television Drama Series.” The 48-year-old was joined at the podium by the woman who currently portrays the older version of Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) and Milly, who appeared to be somewhat intoxicated as she giggled her way through Miguel’s acceptance speech.
