It’s been over 20 years since Redman released Muddy Waters, and the New Jersey-native revealed on Twitter that he’s set to release the follow-up, Muddy Waters Too, “soon.” Redman has been promising release dates for the album since 2010, with no luck, but he previewed some tracks last May, sparking interest yet again.
Redman addressed making the album with HipHopDX in 2017, telling them, “Muddy Waters is my favorite album and I’m calling it Muddy Waters Too; not the number two but T-O-O. And the reason for that is I don’t want it to compare to with Muddy Waters, the first one. I’m saying this is Muddy Waters Too.”
