During an interview with HipHopDX at Lovers & Friends 2023, legendary producer Mannie Fresh gave his opinion on one of his classic cuts “Back That Azz Up” and how he interestingly puts it in the category of a love song.
However, the most important part of the interview wasn’t just Mannie calling “Back That Azz Up” a love song but that it is “the greatest love song ever written,” which didn’t require much explanation considering one knows the lyrics.
