Lupe Fiasco recently took to Instagram Live to speak to his fans, when Kanye West came up, leading Lupe to weigh in on his relationship with Kanye.
Lupe spoke about how he had to pay to go on tour with Kanye, clarifying that Kanye didn’t do it out of the goodness of his heart, which Lupe says is a normal thing in the industry. He also pointed out that he had to pay $135,000 for a Pharrell song, adding that they are also friends. Lupe went on to explain how a lot of people had a hand in making Kanye who he is, and Lupe later said the same thing about Space X CEO Elon Musk. During the conversation, Lupe detailed the lifestyles of the uber-wealthy and people being removed from reality by isolating themselves in their “bubbles.” He then explained the dangers of removing yourself around the regular people that you’re trying to speak to, like Kanye, and then coming off as crazy because they no longer relate to their fans.
