LeBron James reacted to Derrick Rose’s career-high 50-point game following Los Angeles’s one-point victory over Dallas.

LeBron told reporters, “Even when a superhero is knocked down he’s still a superhero at the end of the day. Derrick Rose showed he’s still a superhero.”

The youngest MVP in league history was beginning to stake his claim as one of the best players of this generation. However, injuries began piling up on the Chicago native and the potential of a transcendent NBA career began to wither away. Derrick Rose seemingly turned back the clocks to 2011 against a tough Utah Jazz team dropping 50 points, shooting 19-31 from the field. To cap off Rose’s career night, he made the game-securing block with under 5 seconds left in the game.
