Say what you want to say about Kevin Hart, he’s one of the most hardworking men in show business of this current generation. The comedian turned businessman is currently promoting his latest feature film, Night School, starring budding superstar in Tiffany Haddish.
Hart took his talents to Jimmy Kimmel Live! where he detailed a story of overcoming/triumph involving Tiffany Haddish who just so happened to be homeless at the time. Around the 1:18-mark of the clip, Kevin states the following:
“I knew Tiffany when Tiffany was homeless. She was living out of her car, and nobody knew, she was trying to keep it a secret… And something just wasn’t right, something wasn’t sitting right and I was like ‘Yo, you alright? Is everything ok with you?’ And she was like, ‘Yeah, yeah, I’m fine.’ And randomly I asked, ‘Yo, where you live at?’ and she couldn’t answer the question, that’s when I found out she was living out of her car… And in my pocket, I had $300, and I was like ‘Yo, here… I don’t know what this could do for you, but hopefully it can do something for you in this time.”
Hart went on to detail how Haddish was able to get a motel for the week with the funds and establish a temporary foundation during her time of need. The Laugh At My Pain comedian also mentioned that Haddish has yet to reimburse him for his generosity since then.
Now, Haddish is a household name and has the potential to be one of the biggest comedy personalities of this era.
