Amid reports from Kelly Price’s family members claiming that she’s been missing since battling COVID-19, the Grammy-nominated singer spoke candidly with TMZ about her battle with the deadly disease.
During the sit-down, Price revealed that she flatlined and was revived while doctors were fighting to save her life. Price explained, “At some point they lost me. I woke up a couple of days and the first thing I remember was the doctors standing around me asking me if I knew what year it was.” When asked to clarify what she meant by saying “they lost me,” Kelly stated, “I died.”
Price went on to detail the days leading up to her hospitalization, which included having a high temperature and shallow breathing. Kelly also revealed that she’s still having complications, stating, “I have what is called long COVID and I am facing a very uphill battle right now. I suffered a lot of internal damage and so I have a lot of rehabbing to do before I am able to be concert-ready again.”
