Former President Donald Trump has once again been placed under a gag order in his federal election tampering case.

The order prohibits him from publicly attacking witnesses and court staff involved in the case. This comes after a federal judge in Washington reinstated the order due to Trump’s recent attack on a witness. The gag order had briefly been lifted while Trump appealed it, but it was reinstated by Judge Tanya Chuin after she concluded that Trump’s social media post attacking his ex-chief of Staff, Mark Meadows threatened the integrity of the judicial proceedings. Trump had referred to Meadows as a weakling and a coward after it was reported that he had testified before a grand jury in exchange for a form of immunity.
