During an interview with CNN’s Van Jones, Jay-Z did not hold his tongue when it came to Donald Trump, the current President of the United States.
While speaking to Jones, the hip-hop mogul called Trump a “Super Bug.” Jay-Z addressed Trump’s racist comments he made where he called Africa, Haiti, and more “sh*thole countries.” The rapper said the comments are hurtful, but this is how they talk behind closed doors.
From there, Jay-Z compared the situation to Donald Sterling and the consequences he faced after being publicly exposed for saying racist things. Jay said “When you do that, you know, when the bugs come, and you spray something, and you create a superbug. Because you don’t take care of the problem. You don’t take the trash out. You just keep spraying whatever over it to make it acceptable. As those things grow, we create a superbug, and now we have Donald Trump.”
Donald Trump Fires Back at Jay-Z After “Super Bug” Comment
Recently, During an interview with Van Jones, Jay-Z referred to Donald Trump as a “super bug.” Since then, Trump has taken to his platform of choice— Twitter, to address the rapper. Via Twitter, Trump said, “Somebody please inform Jay-Z that because of my policies, Black Unemployment has just been reported to be at the LOWEST RATE EVER RECORDED!” 🙄
