According to reports, the House of Representatives voted early this Saturday morning to approve a $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package.

The final vote tally ended up being 219-212, with two Democrats reportedly voting against the bill. No Republicans voted as well. Since the bill has passed, it will reportedly make its way to the Senate next. News also surfaced noting the Senate will strip a part of the legislation that would increase the federal minimum wage. Biden issued a statement on the passing of the bill, saying “If we act now, decisively, quickly and boldly, we can finally get ahead of this virus. We can finally get our economy moving again, and the people of this country have suffered far too much for too long. We need to relieve that suffering.” Stay tuned for more updates.
