American shoe retailer Foot Locker has declined to participate in the distribution of leftover Yeezy inventory by Adidas out of fear of backlash for carrying Kanye West-designed shoes following his antisemitic rants last year.

What’s more, the retailer found it difficult to find a charity to integrate into the sale of Yeezys. When things began to fall apart for Ye after his split with Adidas, Foot Locker wasted little time in pulling his shoes from their shelves and issuing a statement condemning the rapper/producer-turned-fashion designer. “Foot Locker, Inc. does not tolerate any form of antisemitism, or hateful and discriminatory behavior,” a spokesperson said at the time.
