Federal agents in California reportedly seized about one million counterfeit pills laced with fentanyl that was located at a home in Inglewood this past week, according to the DEA.

The announcement was made on Thursday, and laced pills have an alleged street value of about $20 million. The drugs are allegedly associated with a drug trafficking ring tied to the Sinaloa Cartel. DEA Special Agent-In-Charge Bill Bodner spoke on the matter, saying, โ€œThis massive seizure disrupted the flow of dangerous amounts of fentanyl into our streets and probably saved many lives.โ€

According to the DEA, their offices seized over 3 million fentanyl pills in 2021, three times as many drugs seized from the previous year.ย
