The brand alleged that Jiggaman failed to promote their cologne line properly in a deal.

Jay-Z fired back by saying he was owed $2.7 million in royalties, noting the brand gave him “with inadequate accounting reports and promotional resources, among other things.”

Now, an appellate court has ruled in favor of Jay-Z, saying he is owed $4.5 million. Page Six noted the court said Jay-Z and his company are reportedly entitled to “summary judgment on their royalties counterclaim.” Because of the judgment, Hov is set to get $4.5 million in royalties. Justice John Higgitt spoke on the decision, saying, “The record is clear: Parlux sold licensed products after July 31, 2015, but failed to pay royalties on those sales.”
