The 4-day work week has been implemented in other countries around the globe and has seen results ranging from increased employee productivity and other intangible factors like happiness and readiness to work as a result of the shortened work week. 

A bill was recently reintroduced to Congress by California Rep. Mark Takano whose proposal would officially reduce the standard definition of the workweek from 40 hours to 32 hours by amending the Fair Labor Standards Act.Â
