It has been revealed that the Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals were canceled a second year due to COVID-19.
A public health order that was recently released by California’s Riverside County spoke on the changes and cancellation of the festival, saying the events scheduled for April 2021 were canceled. The Riverside County order says:
“The event will attract hundreds of thousands of attendees from many countries, including several disproportionately afflicted by the worldwide COVID-19 epidemic. If COVID-19 were detected at these festivals, the scope and number of attendees and the nature of the venue would make it infeasible, if not impossible, to track those who may be placed at risk.”
News of this comes after California Governor Gavin Newsom removed the state’s stay-at-home restrictions.
