Move over Subway, Chick-fil-A is moving up the ranks for American fast-food chains, expecting to officially be in the top 3 by 2019.
According to reports, Chick-fil-A has increased its sales by 15.5% over the last year, with its overall traffic going up another 10%. If the company continues this rate of growth they’re expected to reach $10.4 billion in annual sales, up from last year’s figure of $9.021 billion. That same year, Chick-fil-A was ranked #7 overall, therefore, these new statistics indicate that they have surpassed Taco Bell, Wendys, Burger King, and eventually Subway according to reports from Market Watch.
In contrast, Subway had a tumultuous 2018 that saw the sandwich company close hundreds of stores and even abandon its signature $5 footlong deal. Meanwhile, reports suggest that before long McDonalds will soon be competing with Chick-fil-A for the number one spot.
