Carlos Santana is largely considered one of the most influential guitarists in history, along with other big names such as Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, Chucky Berry, Eric Clapton, Pete Townsend, and Prince.

His career highlights include a classic performance at Woodstock in 1969 and the release of his record-breaking album Supernatural (1999). Over the years, Santana has also shown the willingness to express himself from a social/political standpoint, like when he once criticized former U.S. President George W. Bush during a live performance. The Rock N’ Roll Hall of Famer recently made headlines again with controversial remarks that many believed outlined his religious convictions and thoughts on the transgender community.
