According to reports, Atlanta has been making an effort to combat homelessness in the city and managed to raise $50 million to help out the massive amount of homeless folks on the streets.
The amount of the money is part of the HomeFirst program and will be directed towards the homeless population, which is reportedly larger than Atlanta is admitting. An advocate for the homeless—Marshall Rancifer commented on the situation, saying, “The fact the homeless population is a lot larger than the city is admitting, $50 million is a drop in the bucket.”
