With all of the negative attention surrounding Sesame Place and the firestorm of racist allegations that have been hurled in their direction, Disney World seemed like a prime destination for children and their families to visit without the notion of a traumatizing experience.

Hopefully, anyone with that idea in mind didn’t happen to visit the “Happiest Place on Earth” on Wednesday because, according to reports, a hellacious on-camera fight broke out between two families that sent one person to the hospital.

Tension started to brew between the two parties involved around 7:30 pm when a certain family member decided to leave the line for Mickey’s PhilharMagic show (located in Fantasyland) to recover a missing cellphone that she believed she had been left behind in one of the theme park’s electric scooters. Upon her return near the line, the family that had been waiting in line behind her family impeded her advance, claiming that she had lost her spot in line for good. This led to a shoving match, resulting in a fist-throwing melee that would garner national media attention. The sad irony is that both families lost their spots in line because of the fighting, including the children who were just there to have a good time. Not all of the family members on both sides were fighting, as some of them were visibly trying to prevent the altercation from escalating further.
