However, many have been celebrating X’s life and have taken to streaming platforms to show love for him. According to reports, the rapper’s stream has risen 928% in the days since his passing. Data that was reported by MRC Data laid out the rise in streams for X, with the rapper’s music getting 75.7 million on-demand streams on April 9th and 10th. It was noted that the rapper’s most popular songs got a major boost this past weekend, with “How’s It Goin’ Down” getting 3.52 million streams, “Party Up” getting 5.20 million streams, and “Ruff Ryders Anthem” getting 9.59 million streams. While DMX was in the hospital, his streams reportedly rose as well. According to Billboard, ‘The Best of DMX’ album hit the Billboard 200 album charts due to streaming, with the album popping up at #73.
